Bee-ing Neighbours Book Talk at Langford Schoolhouse

Free Event: Being Neighbours with the Langford Conservancy & Catharine Wilson


Interested in learning more about the history of rural communities? The Langford Conservancy is excited to be hosting Dr. Catharine Wilson @ruralDiaryRural as she speaks about her book that explores barn raising, threshing and quilting bees in Ontario, 1830-1960 through historical farm diaries.


The Langford Conservancy is working to create a museum with a rural archive of records from the area, so community members are encouraged to share old photos, histories, and artifacts from the community.


The event will include:
✍🏻A display of old diaries
☕️Light refreshments and snacks
📔Copies of the book available for purchase
🚜Display of archives from the Langford community
🌾Discussion and time to share your own artifacts and stories
