Discover the magic and joy of creating with chalk in this Sidewalk Chalk Mini Camp.
-Dive into color theory as we learn how to apply chalk to surfaces, enjoy blending and creating new colors, experiment mixing different color temperatures, and create a beautiful mosaic masterpiece as a group. This is the perfect class to start you on your art journey with color theory skills that can be used with any type of medium.
-Price of class is $20 per participant. All art supplies are included. At the end of the class, you will be able to bring home your own supplies to continue your sidewalk chalk journey including a 48-piece Crayola chalk set, gloves/blenders to protect your hands, and a roll of tape to make your own mosaics or clean edged art pieces at home. Wear clothes that can get dirty and bring a spill-proof water bottle.
-This class will be simplified to best teach kids 5-8.
-Camps runs from 9-10:30 am in Taylor, Utah. Address available at time of registration.
-Class size is limited to 10 participants. Spots are reserved only after payment is made. Payment is accepted through Venmo.
-Class is taught by Jamie Vandenberg, a self-taught sidewalk chalk artist who has been creating chalk art for over 10 years. Jamie started competing in sidewalk chalk competitions 6 years ago. The skills she has obtained from chalk over the years have helped her work in other mediums including charcoal, watercolor, pastels, markers, and colored pencil, and she continues to explore and learn new art mediums.
