Portents & Phantoms

Join us for MAX’s first Affiliate Artist group show, an eerie, atmospheric celebration of art for the Halloween season. Portents & Phantoms, curated by MAX Resident Kayla Moffatt, will transform the gallery into a world of folklore, superstition, and the uncanny—where Mothman lurks in the shadows, haint blue wards off restless spirits, and midnight crossroads promise dark bargains. Featuring works from MAX Affiliates, Residents, and Alumni, this exhibition invites you to step into autumn’s shadows and explore the art of omens, portents, and phantoms.
