Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) is a multi-day Mexican holiday to honor & remember deceased loved ones by welcoming their spirits back to visit the living.
This is a joyful celebration, not a time of mourning.
It celebrates the cycle of life and death with traditions that include building ofrendas (altars), leaving offerings of letters to loved ones, favorite foods, and decorations, and enjoying them all with family and friends.
Oberlin Business Partnership invites you to celebrate The Day of the Dead, October 31st-November 2nd, in Downtown Oberlin.
