Big Break is looking great! Recent tree-removal and landscape improvements have opened up expansive new views of the San Joaquin River, fishing pier, kayak launching lagoon, delta marshlands and relics of old barges and dredging equipment. If you look westward you can also catch a glimpse of Mt. Diablo.
Park at the far end of the parking lot, then walk out the paved trail to the fishing pier area. There are picnic tables with shade, benches, restrooms and a drinking fountain. I'm posting a map in the discussion to help you find us.
Admission is free, restrooms are open, rain cancels. I hope to see you there!
