Winter Fun at Wolf Den

Mountaineer Jeepers are heading to Wolf Den, Badge of honor trail, for some winter fun! We are heading to Wolf Den in Oakland, MD on February 7, 2026. We will be meeting at the Marathon on 389 Weber Road, Oakland, MD 21550 for fuel and last-minute items at 8:00 a.m. At approximately 8:30 a.m., we will head to the Wolf Den office located at 1699 Upperman Road, Oakland, MD 21550. There you must purchase a permit. The fees are $10 for MD state residence and $12 for non-MD residence, per person. We hope to be paid and on the trail by 9:30 a.m. The trail is open until 4:00 p.m. This trail has every trail from green, blue and black with many fun obstacles, rocks and mud. It's suggested you have at least 32" tires. As always, we encourage you to try any trail. We are a family and we're always here to help. Please bring a GMRS radio for communication.
