This lesson explores why certain video games are fun—and how that fun is designed. Students learn about flow (a state of deep focus and joy) and the gameplay loops that power it. By experiencing classic games from the museum’s collection and reflecting on what makes them feel good to play, students gain early tools for becoming thoughtful gamers and future game designers.
