Omni-instrumentalist, composer, fixture of the Oakland arts ecosystem, Imari "Cheflee" Mubarak will be back patio, along with live sets from , and soundtrack support from and .
The night marks the opening of a new chapter for Cheflee, with the debut of a new single, "All I See," the first from his as-yet-untitled follow up to last year's . With the new record on the way, he'll be taking the opportunity to premiere new songs live in the flesh, with visual accompaniment.
This one will be initimate, i.e. space is at a premium, but we'll also be offering a handful of free tickets for Emeryville residents only, thanks to generous support from the City of Emeryville and RCCD. Proceeds support the artists and future shows.
Cafe Colucci, the legendary family-run institution, will be serving food and drinks as usual, including a full bar.

Recording and performing as , Imari Mubarak creates dense, cosmic compositions that venture into the funk, free improvisation, and grooves both ancient and interplanetary.
A natural collaborator, Mubarak plays bass as part of Toro y Moi, and contributed as a producer and performer to records from Saba, Liv.e and Salami Rose Joe Louis. On projects like Fescue June and his forthcoming, as-yet-untitled solo album, he plays each instrument himself, creating a thick stew of interlocking rhythms and apocalyptic visions.
is the project of Oakland-via-Austin musician David Alvarez. A frequent flyer in Cheflee's live ensemble, Alvarez creates collages from guitar, voice, synth textures, and live pedal effects, as on his latest solo single, "Rightly Timed".
On stages around the world, is a force behind the kit and on vocals. Since 2018, the Brooklyn-bred drummer and singer-songwriter has called the Bay home, channeling deep groove from the sonic ancestors, as on his 2022 Dilla tribute, Brand New Anicent Rhythms.
