You are invited to Presents: Get-Hype Open-Mic September Series hosted by Oakland raised author and poet, . Join us for this FREE EVENT at 3207 Louise Street Oakland, CA 94608 on Friday September 26th from 6:30-9pm for an open mic like no other.

Whether you're a poet, musician, comedian, or storyteller, here is your opportunity to share your work to the world. We will be featuring the incredible poet, veteran, and hairstylist, , performing a full set of original poetry. Don’t miss out on the most hype open mic around!

Pamela Heal () is a spoken word artist originally from Neoga, Illinois whose dynamic travels while in the U.S. Navy and also as a hairstylist and activist have shaped her love for the power of spoken word no matter where one may call home. Having performed in Washington, D.C, New York City, San Diego, Honolulu, Puerto Rico, and her beloved Bay Area, her hope is that her words might turn hearts to the belief that anyone can heal.

Open Mic Guidelines:

1. Each performer is allowed to perform 1-2 pieces (poems, songs, etc) but 7-8 mins max.

2. We will have a bluetooth speaker for backing tracks but be patient with the tech.

3. Keep content somewhat family friendly

4.Make a cafe with a purchase (or 2).
