**About 12th BART Station**The San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART) is a heavy-rail public transit system that connects the San Francisco Peninsula with communities in the East Bay and South Bay. BART service currently extends as far as Millbrae, Richmond, Antioch, Dublin/Pleasanton, and Berryessa/North San José. BART operates in five counties (San Francisco, San Mateo, Alameda, Contra Costa, and Santa Clara) with 131 miles of track and 50 stations. From the opening of service in 1972 to the present day, BART has enhanced the quality of life in the Bay Area by providing rapid and reliable transportation. Today, the BART system is essential to the health of our region’s economy—connecting workers and businesses, and relieving regional traffic congestion. At the same time, BART is the backbone of the region’s public transit system, accommodating people of all income levels as well as youth, seniors, and people with disabilities. By reducing the need to drive, BART reduces emissions and air pollution, supporting a healthier environment. Read more here.

**About Silent Book Club**Silent Book Club started in San Francisco in 2012 with two friends—Guinevere de la Mare and Laura Gluhanich—reading together at our neighborhood wine bar. We loved books and reading with friends, but our previous attempts at book clubs had fizzled out.Often with traditional book clubs there's the scramble to finish the selected book, and the pressure to have something smart to say. Wouldn't it be great to have a book club where you could just enjoy books, friends, and drinks—without any homework? In 2015, we officially launched Silent Book Club as an organization with a mission to unite a global community of book lovers through the shared joy of reading together. **About Chapter510** Chapter 510 is a made-in-Oakland youth writing, bookmaking & publishing center. Our teaching artists and volunteers work side by side with educators to provide a safe space and supportive community so Black, brown, and queer youth ages 8-19 can bravely write. They want every young person in Oakland to write with confidence and joy. They believe that writing is an act of liberation. Young people transform themselves and their communities when they write and get published, succeeding in work, school, and life. Read more here.
