Astro on Tap: Heavy Metal and Supermassive Black Holes

Our next Astro on Tap (AoT) will be at @twopitchersbeer_oakland on September 9th beginning at 7:30 pm! AoT is a worldwide event series featuring public, accessible, astronomy-themed talks on everything from the Big Bang to black holes.

This month, we have two excellent talks lined up: Daniel Bretheaur (UCB) will be telling us about the explosive origins of heavy metals in the universe. Then, we’ll hear from Dr. Jean Somalwar (UCB/Stanford/KIPAC)) about supermassive black holes and their unknown origins!
