Since April 1, 2015, Pittsburgh Botanic Garden has welcoming visitors and inspiring the community to value plants, garden design and the natural world – now it’s time to celebrate!
Join us for an exciting day of outdoor fun in the Garden of the Five Senses near Vivid Echo, part of Momentum by Patrick Shearn of Poetic Kinetics. This family-friendly festival includes interactive activities, games, music, art, food and more, and it’s all included with admission.

Discovery Tables – Learn about how plants get their different colors, the history of this land, how Native Americans used plants of the Allegheny Plateau, how plants move and more.
Observation Hive – Get a closer look at how European honeybees build a hive and make honey.
Garden Trivia – Test your knowledge of the Garden’s history and fun facts about plants.
Natural Crafts – Get creative and use natural materials from the Garden to make works of art.
Pond Specimens – Learn about the aquatic world of the Lotus Pond.
Lawn Games – Giant Jenga, cornhole, hula hoops and more.
Log House Open House – Look inside the Walker-Ewing-Glass Log House and learn about its history and connection to the Whiskey Rebellion.
Cupcake Decorating – Make your own personalized sweet treat with supplies provided by Giant Eagle.
Time Capsule – Bury a commemorative capsule to be unveiled years in the future.
