133 Central Road, Nunawading, Australia
A creative space to pause, reflect, and make something that matters.
Cuppa Connect is part of The Table — a community art project by Art For People’s Sake (AFPS) in partnership with The Village Well (Box Hill). Together, we’re exploring what radical hospitality can look like in everyday life — through art, story, and shared connection.
Each Cuppa Connect session is a gentle creative gathering — part art workshop, part conversation, part shared pause. We’ll explore the weekly blog themes from The Table through guided reflection and hands-on making, discovering what it means to open our tables, our imaginations, and our hearts.
You don’t need any art experience — just curiosity, kindness, and a willingness to create. Every mark, collage, or colour choice you make becomes part of The Table installation that will be revealed at The Final Feast in December.
Come as you are. Have a cuppa, make some art, and connect with others around ideas that feed the soul.
When: Wednesdays 10am–12pm (starting 12 Nov)
Where: Miss Lucy Café, 133 Central Avenue, Nunawading
Cost: $25 (includes a $5 voucher toward the cuppa of your choice)
Drop-ins are welcome — but if you can register, it helps enormously with preparation and setup. Thank you!
The Table is an evolving participatory artwork and community project exploring radical hospitality — the art of creating space for one another. Across Term 4, hundreds of people will contribute through small acts of art-making, conversation, and connection.
The project will culminate in The Final Feast, a large-scale community celebration and installation at The Village Well (Box Hill), where the collective artworks and stories will be shared.
Kendall Bryant is a multidisciplinary artist, community arts leader, and founder of Art For People’s Sake (AFPS) — a creative movement dedicated to art for real life.
With over 25 years of experience in visual art, theatre, and community storytelling, Kendall’s work brings people together through creativity, compassion, and connection. Her participatory art projects invite everyday people to explore what matters most — belonging, visibility, and shared humanity.
Pull up a chair, grab a cuppa, and make something that matters.
Every mark you make becomes part of a bigger story — the story of us.
