Ancient teachings for modern living.
Join us for a 10-week in-person journey into the heart of yoga philosophy. Together, we will explore the yamas and niyamas, timeless teachings from the ancient yogic text, the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. Often called the “ethical foundation” of yoga, these ten guiding principles offer a roadmap for living in harmony with yourself, others, and the world around you. The yamas focus on how we interact with the world, while the niyamas guide how we cultivate inner discipline, self-care, and spiritual growth.
In this supportive, trauma-informed study group, we will look at each principle through a compassionate lens, discussing how it applies to real life. Each week will include group discussion, space for personal sharing, and guided journaling to help you reflect and integrate what you learn. (no asana practice, but we encourage you to attend the 5:30 yoga class before).
No prior philosophy experience is needed, only curiosity, an open mind, and a willingness to explore. Whether you want to deepen your yoga practice, find greater alignment in your life, or simply learn timeless wisdom for living well, this series offers practical tools and heartfelt connection.
