Mini Tule Burden Basket w/ TekTekh (Mishewal)

Tule is more than just a plant; it’s part of our narratives, shelters, and visions for the future. Join mini burden baskets and mats with TekTekh Gabaldon (Mishewal) workshop. Learn to weave a burden tule basket using traditional California techniques with ?All weaving supplies and tools will be provided!

TekTekh Gabaldon, who is Mishewal Wappo, is another valuable member of the Native Advisory Council. TekTekh is a traditional culture bearer and naturalist, actively involved in tribal ceremonial affairs throughout the North Bay region.

We’re hosting a series of community events throughout summer and fall, including a canoe building session at Point Reyes Station, a tule canoe launch celebration, and on October 18th a Mini Tule Mat Class with TekTekh (Mishewal)
