This February half term, Macademia is running a 5-day Architecture & Model Making Studio in our beautiful Sherwood Studio, and it’s honestly one of the things we do best! Let your young people be inspired 🩷
This isn’t crafts.
This isn’t filler activities.
This is real architecture, real thinking, real making — delivered in a way that’s fun, supportive, and genuinely inspiring.
Across the week, students will work on proper architectural projects, learning how architects think, draw, design and build. They’ll explore scale, space, structure and materials, and leave with work they’re truly proud of.
Morning Studio (9.30–12.30) – ages approx 8–12
A playful but rigorous introduction to architecture through making, drawing and spatial thinking. Perfect for curious young minds who love building, creating and asking “why?”
Afternoon Studio (1–5pm) – ages approx 12–18
A more advanced, portfolio-focused studio covering architectural drawing, plans, sections, scale, proportion and concept development. Ideal for students considering GCSEs, A-Levels or university pathways in architecture, design or engineering.
