Gather with Audrey Causilla and her ensemble, MEKALA, for their 1st community kirtan of 2026! Kirtan is a blissful evening of music and mantra, where Audrey will guide you through call and response chanting in community. No experience necessary.

A truly unique musical and meditative experience, kirtan quiets the mind and opens the heart, aligning our innermost Self deeply into the present moment, whether one is singing or just listening or basking in the mantra and sound. Merging Sanskrit and English mantras with melody, flutes and vibrant drumming, Audrey's chants encompass a range of sounds from East to West, blending moments of raga with her own evocative piano harmonies and melodies.
Audrey (on vocals, harmonium, piano) will be joined by Johnny Ruzsa (flutes), and Zach Mechlem (guitars & percussion). Johnny and Zach are world musicians who, with Jim Feist, perform as Mohenjo Daro.
About MEKALA:
Audrey Causilla weaves her classical pianist background with her love of mantra, world music, and the sound healing of chanting into kirtan, call-and-response devotional chanting. She has toured with Girish and Kristin Luna Ray regionally as well as to Bhaktifest and the Midwest Yoga Conference. Audrey offers chant workshops, and leads kirtans with her ensemble, MEKALA. Audrey has taught private piano and coached opera singers for 24 years, and released her first CD, Piano Improvisations: Journey To The Heart, her Mekala Kirtan Live CD, and her newest release is Piano Improvisations Vol. II.
