Welcome back to another Poets in the Cellar! This month we have a special event for you: that's right, it's time for the launch of our second zine! 'Burning' sees our selection of incredible poets responding to this brief as they see fit. We hope you'll pick up a copy and enjoy!
Also this month we have a rather sad farewell to make. Samuel Glyn, one part of the troublesome twosome of humble hosts, is leaving for pastures new. James Ward will be taking over as exclusive host of the Cellar now. So, Samuel will be headlining! And what a headline set it shall be, I'm sure. Joining him will of course be an incredible bunch of performers.
We'll also be partying until midnight with the help of our regular DJ, DJ Sp33dy! To get an idea of numbers, for now you can only buy Poetry + Afterparty tickets or this with a zine pre-order at a discount. We'll have some zines available at the event as well. Poets featured in the zine get a free one!
Half of all proceeds will be donated to Medical Aid for Palestine, with a collection pot on the night as well. Thanks for your continued support in donating. Doors open: 18:00Event start: 18:30Please let us know ASAP if you can no longer perform. Poets do not have to buy a ticket (if you want to buy a zine on the night and you're a poet, it will be at the reduced price!) Poets get a free ticket for themselves to attend and a free drink at the bar courtesy of the Bicycle Shop.
