You’re Invited to the Admin Workshop at South Side Church & Community Center!
Join us on Saturday, January 10 at 9:00 a.m. for a practical and energizing morning designed to equip church leaders, administrators, and volunteers with helpful tools and real-world resources for smoother, safer, and more effective ministry.
Throughout the morning, we’ll explore key administrative topics such as:
-Background Checks & Safe Sanctuary Practices
An overview of commonly used systems, approaches to renewals, and the development and management of Safe Sanctuary policies. This section will also touch on where staff hiring and termination processes may fit within an overall administrative framework.
-IT Security & Social Media Guidelines
A look at building strong IT security practices and discussing whether social media dos and don’ts for staff and ministry leaders should be part of a comprehensive administrative plan.
-Facility Use Policies
A general walkthrough of how churches create, update, and manage building-use policies.
-Grant Writing
Tips, experiences, and considerations for those interested in seeking grant funding to support ministry efforts.
The workshop will also address questions surrounding financial software, including the rationale behind systems churches currently use and how to evaluate alternatives.
Each topic will include time for questions, and we’ll also allow space for individual conversations. Attendees will receive generic, editable copies of sample documents—helpful templates to take back and adapt for your own church setting.
