●PATTERN: 41FT 2007 WEBER CUP 5:1 RATIO. 24.05 mL
●Format: Scotch doubles is an unique format of bowling. “Doubles” means that each team has two bowlers. “Scotch” means that you and your teammate play on the same scorecard under one name, and alternate shots. In short, you and your teammate alternate every single throw. Not every frame, every throw. If Bowler (A) starts the first frame by only hitting down 8 pins, Bowler (B) must throw at the remaining two pins. If Bowler (A) gets a strike, it’s now Bowler (B’s) turn to throw at a full set of pins. Same rules apply when the B bowler is throwing the first ball results for the next frame.
●Bowling a total of 8 games SCRATCH for qualifying. We will be cutting and paying to 1 out of every 4 teams. EXAMPLE: If there are 32 teams then we will cut to 8 teams. If there are only 28 teams then we would cut to the top 7 teams for match-play rounds until a champion is met. Each round will consist of the 2 teams bowling a 2-game total pinfall match, the higher total team would move onto the next round. IF in the event of a tie after the 2 games, it would then be decided by an 9th and 10th frame roll off. If we have a odd number of teams that make it to the match play rounds, The highest qualifying team for the tournament will earn a BYE into the 2nd round of match-play. IF there are an EVEN amount of teams that make it to match-play, we would do seeding as follows for 8 teams in this EXAMPLE: ***#1 SEED vs #8 SEED***, ***#2 SEED vs #7 SEED***, ***#3 SEED vs #6 SEED*** and then the ***#4 SEED vs #5 SEED***. The match-play bracket would then run its course from there until a champion team is awarded.
