Immersive Planetarium Program

Presented by the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Education Team
Two presentations in one day, both inside the planetarium as well as activities outside!

Sleeping Bear from Below (New Program!) - An immersive experience underwater in Lake Michigan, showing the changes happening to Lake Michigan by the invasive quagga mussels, how scientists monitor these changes, and what we can do to prevent their spread.
*Caution: Due to the immersive film style, those who experience motion sickness may be affected.*
*Note: This program explores shipwrecks that can be scary for younger participants*

Sharing Star Stories - We bring the dark night sky to you! Using an inflatable planetarium, we explore how different cultures have connected with the night sky through constellations, and how light pollution threatens these connections.
