Join Naarm/Melbourne-based SunSeeds as they celebrate the release of their debut album SUR at Shotkickers. Formed in 2019, with members from Chile, Cuba, Colombia, Cyprus and so-called Australia, SunSeeds weave folkloric South American rhythms with driving electronic beats, psychedelic textures, and traditional instruments like charango, cuatro, conga, and cajón alongside electric bass and guitar.
Their music draws on Afro-Peruvian, Afro-Colombian, and Andean traditions to tell stories of resistance, love, and connection with nature, brought to life in a contemporary, high-energy sound. Having performed at the National Multicultural Festival 2025 and supported Rodrigo Gallardo to a sold-out Melbourne crowd, SunSeeds now present their musical labour of love.
SUR is a heartfelt reflection of migration, culture, and community— A debut that bridges continents and generations—live at Shotkickers.
Supporting on the night is Karina Lehman, a rising singer-songwriter whose captivating mix of vocal loops, harmonies, Afro Latin rhythms, and electronic beats has made her a standout voice in the Melbourne music scene. Known for her folk-pop fusion, Karina’s music is inspired by artists such as Natalia Lafourcade and Björk.
The night will also feature Sista Sara, a seasoned DJ with nearly two decades of experience, blending reggae, roots, and dancehall with global sounds from Latin America, Africa, and beyond. With an international reputation for her mixtapes and high-energy sets, Sista Sara’s eclectic selections will keep the dancefloor moving.
