Inspired by Georges Seurat’s famous painting A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, the story follows the artist’s struggle to balance love, ambition, and innovation. Spanning generations, this funny and moving musical invites audiences to reflect on the intersections of life and art, reminding us of the beauty in creating something meaningful that lasts.
Directed by Eddie Zitka and music directed by David Cavallin, K and E Theater Group’s production of Sunday in the Park with George stars Michael Graham as George and Nicki Elledge-Hickey as Dot/Marie. The talented cast also includes Marylou Bage (Louise/Waitress), Matthew Bussell (Soldier/Alex), Gene Choquette (Boatman/Charles), Nikki Gorts (Yvonne/Naomi), Tom LeCourt (Mr./Lee), Jay Lee (Jules/Bob), Kerrie Maguire (Frieda/Betty), Joshua Mason(Louis/Billy), Elizabeth Monte (Nurse/Harriet/Mrs.), Nicole Newell-Marcus (Celeste #2/Elaine), Emma Rucci (Celeste #1/Photographer), Carol Wrobleski (Old Lady/Blair), and Eddie Zitka (Franz/Dennis).
