We are thrilled to welcome Veronika Kruta back to Western Mass! Veronika is a tango and movement teacher based in Buenos Aires, with deep roots in our own community. She’s been dancing tango since 2005, teaching since 2011, and is also trained in yoga and somatic practices. Her reputation is for clarity, musicality, and body-friendly technique that makes fundamentals expressive, safe, and deeply connected to the music.
For many of us here, Veronika holds a very special place. On my first trip to Buenos Aires, I joined one of her tours , not a cookie-cutter tango package, but a warm, immersive experience. That trip introduced me to heroes like the late Julio Balmaceda, and lifelong friendships that have lasted into return visits and homecooked meals.
It showed me how Veronika lives tango not just as dance, but as culture and community. That’s the spirit we’re so happy to bring into our practica.

This guest night is also part of a bigger weekend of tango in Western Mass. Our friend Cyla has an exciting lineup of events on Friday and Saturday, so there will be plenty of chances to learn, dance, and connect. Together, these nights create a special opportunity for the broader community to meet, share, and celebrate tango.

We’re lucky! Not every place has so many devoted dancers working together. Let’s take advantage of this energy, and show what a beautiful community we have here in the Valley.
