Rob Ostberg is joining forces with The Iron Horse to produce the Playin’ For The Horse benefit concert. Featuring performances by local bands, Ozzie’s Basement, Chick'n'Wire, and Wild Bill & Big Trouble, the show will raise funds for The Iron Horse’s Playing It Forward capital campaign. This will be a chance for the PRCO team to connect with the audience, share important information about the campaign, and engage with folks about how they can help sustain the mission of The Parlor Room Collective. All proceeds will support a strong future for the beloved Iron Horse Music Hall as we continue to enhance the health and vitality of our community through music.
Thank you to Rob Ostberg and his band, Ozzie’s Basement, for spearheading this effort!
Ozzie’s Basement was formed during the pandemic by various members of other bands who were sidelined due to public policy restrictions. We had so much fun that we decided to stay together as the restrictions eased. We have all played in various bands for 25 years or more and given the size and diversity within the group, play a wide array of covers with varied configurations of the players. This adds a texture to our high energy shows unusual for most cover bands of our ilk.
Chick'n'Wire is a dynamic cover band based in the Pioneer Valley, known for their lively performances that blend classic rock, country, and 80s dance hits, ensuring there's something for everyone. They regularly entertain at top clubs and breweries across the region, creating an energetic atmosphere where audiences sing along and dance freely, making each show a memorable experience
Wild Bill & Big Trouble bring the joy and the harmonies. Their repertoire combines country, roots, rock, bluegrass, and more. Gathered around one old-fashioned microphone, the band shares classic and contemporary music in a fresh and exciting way. Blending accordion, electric and acoustic guitars, along with bass and drums, they bring new life to old classics by Merle Haggard or Hank Williams, and an old-fashioned feel to more modern tunes by The Band or Tom Waits. Whether you want to dance, tap your toes, or just listen, Wild Bill & Big Trouble will have you smiling and maybe even singing along.
