Fundamentals of Oil Painting with Instructor, Eddie Kent Tallent

Explore the joys of working in oil paints whether you are a novice in the medium, or simply need a refresher on the tools, techniques, and best practices. We will begin the workshop with an overview and demonstration of techniques, along with some basic exercises. Participants will then progress to working on a small, finished painting. You may work in traditional oils or water-soluble oils.

Participants must supply their own materials including paints, brushes, solvents, and surfaces. You will also need a sketchbook and drawing pencil(s), a small canvas panel or canvas paper for exercises, and a stretched canvas or panel of at least 9 x 12 inches for a finished project. Please call ahead for a basic materials list if needed.

Advanced registration is highly encouraged.
