Join us for a hands-on zine-making workshop where families who have a family member with an intellectual or developmental disability can explore what care looks like, both for ourselves and in relationship with others. No artistic experience needed; just bring curiosity and a willingness to reflect.
Together, we’ll step back from expectations and pressures to consider our own capacity to give and receive care. Through simple creative prompts, we’ll name what supports us to show up, what we need to replenish, and how we can care for ourselves with honesty and compassion.
Understanding our own needs and limits is essential as we navigate and advocate for a regular, equitable, and authentic life for our family members. Its much harder to do this alone, being in conversation with other families on similar paths can help us move forward with more clarity, strength, and connection.
