Study Club: Pain Management: Traditional and Additional Methods

There are various forms of pain management used post-frenectomy ranging from Tylenol to Oralase, red light therapy, bodywork and natural remedies (e.g. Arnica). Anesthesia to include general vs. topical vs. conscious sedation, could also impact the need to various pain management choice. Newer variations in scar reduction/prevention such as blood serum/PRP (Poland), Kenalog, and Serrapeptase (Serratia peptidase) can decrease the need for pharmaceutical pain management.

We have invited release providers to compare their protocols and provide any data or research they are collecting in their facilities. Open discussion will foster clinical interactions and set the stage for future studies.
