About the event

Merchant Navy Day Flag Raising
This annual occasion hosted by North Tyneside Council pays tribute to the brave men and women of the Merchant Navy, past and present, who have served our nation with courage and dedication—particularly during times of conflict.

The ceremony will include a short address, the raising of the Red Ensign and a moment of reflection to honour those who have served.
