1. Venue
Racing to be held at sea or on the Tyne Estuary, depending upon conditions.
Access to the water from Priors Haven, Tynemouth, on the north bank of the Tyne Estuary adjacent to Tynemouth Priory. Changing and refreshment facilities available in the Clubhouse.
2. Programme
(i). Three races programmed on 27th June
(ii). First race on Saturday: Start at 12 pm. Second and third races to follow.
(iii). No warning signal after 3.00pm on Saturday 27th June
3. Tides
High Water at 2:50pm on Saturday 27th June
4. Racing Rules
The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the current Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS)and the Sailing Instructions (SI’s). In the event of any inconsistencies between this Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions; the Sailing Instructions will prevail.
The (30%) Exoneration Penalty and Arbitration of RRS Appendix T will be available to competitors. See official Notice Board for details.
5. Entry and registration

Entry Fee: £20.00 per boat if entered before 6.00pm on Friday 26th April. Entry is possible on the day in the Clubhouse
6. Briefing
There will be a briefing in the clubhouse at 11.00am on Saturday 27th June
7. Courses
Racing at sea: Windward-Leeward, Triangle, P-course at sea, or Harbour Courses: in adverse weather conditions. A map of marks in the estuary is available by clicking here.
8. Scoring
All races will be counted with no discard available.
9. Insurance
Each boat shall have Third Party insurance to a sum of not less than £3,000,000.
10. Apres Sail
Competitors, their family and friends are encouraged to gather at the clubhouse after racing. The bar will be open for liquid refreshment.
11. Photo consent
Competitors should note photographs of the event may be used for publicity or social media posts by the organisers.
