This 2.5 hour workshop is designed to introduce you to the practice of meditation, offering both guided and silent experiences alongside accessible teachings on the purpose, origins, and research-backed benefits of meditation.
You’ll experience four distinct forms of meditation:
Anapana (breath awareness) to anchor attention
Metta (loving-kindness) to cultivate compassion
Chakra Meditation to awaken subtle awareness
Yoga Nidra for deep rest
Alongside actually practicing these meditations, we’ll talk about what it means to be present, how to navigate resistance, restlessness, and other things that tend to come in the way of a meditation practice, and why these practices matter in terms of both ancient wisdom traditions and modern research all with the goal to inspire and inform your meditation practice.
A short break with tea will be included, as well as a take-home printout guide with resources to support your personal practice.
This workshop is designed to be welcoming and meaningful for all experience levels.
