In partnership with Finger Lakes PRISM and Monroe CCE, Genesee Land Trust is hosting a workshop at Alasa Farms focused on protecting our region’s hemlock trees. The Hemlock Woolly Adelgid (HWA) is an invasive species that is threatening the health of our forests and killing Hemlocks. Hemlocks are a vital part of the Finger Lakes landscape.
This workshop will focus on educating folks on the threat HWA is to local ecosystems and how to identify HWA. A hands-on field survey will guide participants on how to practice detection and reporting techniques.

Parking: There is a small parking lot at the address, where we will meet before heading out onto the trail.
Pets: Dogs, other pets, emotional support, comfort, and companion animals are not allowed at Genesee Land Trust events. Although your pet may be friendly, everyone has different familiarity and experiences with animals. Thank you for being respectful to other attendees.
