Sometimes our neighbors need an extra hand with the upkeep of their yards and homes. The 2025 Fix It Blitz sponsored by New Armor Restoration is seeking volunteers to help. This year’s Fix It Blitz will take place on Saturday, Oct. 18 to assist elderly, disabled, single parent and veteran neighbors who are struggling to complete needed exterior property repairs and yard work.
Projects may include mowing, fence repair, debris removal, light construction, painting, etc. Local businesses, non-profit organizations, churches, families and individuals are encouraged to volunteer. There will be projects for all ages and skill levels.
Homeowners in need of assistance must complete an application through the NRH Neighborhood Initiative Program. Projects approved for assistance may be completed by volunteer groups any time during the year; however, many are completed during the Fix It Blitz event.
Donations are very important to the Fix It Blitz as it supports those who are economically challenged. Monetary donations are used to purchase needed building materials, tools and supplies. In-kind giving of materials and services are welcomed. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
