Lucas’s Story
Lucas is a sweet and strong 2-year-old with three loving siblings—Aleah (10), Tyler (9), and Emma (7). At just 11 months old, Lucas was diagnosed with a large brain tumor that required two risky surgeries. The tumor left him temporarily paralyzed on his right side, and he underwent multiple procedures, including shunt placements, to manage complications. Over time, with intense therapy, Lucas regained most of his strength.
Sadly, in April 2025, Lucas’s tumor returned and spread to his spine. It now compresses his spinal cord, leaving him unable to feel or move from the waist down, with limited arm function and trunk control. He’s currently undergoing daily radiation and chemotherapy in hopes of improving his condition.
While Lucas battles this rare cancer, his family is doing everything they can to support him and maintain stability for his siblings. Expenses are rising, and Medicaid coverage is uncertain. Any support will go toward Lucas’s medical needs, mobility equipment, home modifications, and helping care for his siblings as they face this new reality together.
