To celebrate the opening of our new space, RICM is offering a special series of STEAM workshops during winter vacation week, taking place December 26th-January 3rd, for students ages 8-13.
About This Program
Get your pickaxe and shovel ready, and get crafting! If you love all things Minecraft, this workshop is for you! With the BlocksCAD software, you will manipulate simple 3D shapes to transform them into a Minecraft character! You’ll use a colorful menu of coding commands called “blocks” to adjust your design and make it your own. This will be a highly interactive course where you will learn primarily by building, eventually turning a series of cubes into a fearsome Creeper. You will finish the workshop with several projects that you can continue to access and show off at home, or import into Minecraft! Ages 8-13 years.
