Tobias Gerwald, a WCS dancer from Europe, will be in Hobart for a couple of days and is teaching a workshop for us on Wednesday night, 8 October from 7-8pm! He comes highly recommended by our fav German teacher Clara, so it’s guaranteed to be great!
Cost: $25 for workshop and 1 hour of social/peer practice afterwards.
A bit about Tobi:
Tobi got in contact with dancing during his teenage years and immediately fell in love with the endless possibilities of self expression. Always eager to learn and explore new concepts and possibilities, he intensively practiced a variety of couple and solo dances, including ballroom, line dance and Contemporary.
This wide foundation helped him to blend his technical expertise together with his musical creativity and turned him into one of the most attentive and partnership focused dancers in the West Coast Swing Community.
Starting as an assistent teacher and later on leading his own classes as instructor, Tobi has been sharing his knowledge for 5 years and counting. While following his passion for this dance, he traveled the whole continent and reached the WSDC Advanced division.
He is a very well-known face on the social floor not only for his dance skills, but also for napping in unconventional places.
