NORTH HAVEN GARDEN CLUB ANNUAL SCARECROW CONTEST - COME JOIN THE FUN OCTOBER 18th to November 1st
ALL PROCEEDS WILL BENEFIT THE NORTH HAVEN CHILDREN'S LIBRARY AND NORTH HAVEN COMMUNITY SERVICES
We are encouraging all businesses and residents in town to participate in our Annual Scarecrow Contest by making a scarecrow or two, join in the fun. If you are not up to making a scarecrow the North Haven Garden Club would appreciate any and all donations, whether it be a gift card for our participates or a monetary donation. Remember ALL money raised goes to the Community Services and the North Haven Memorial Children's Library.
Once again this year the North Haven Garden Club will be hosting our annual Scarecrow Contest from October 18th - November 1st. on the North Haven Town Green featuring the Enchanted Forest with a Pumpkin Decorating Contest, Costume Parade and new this year a Dog Costume Contest on Saturday, October 25th. Rain date is Sunday October 26th.
SCARECROW CONTEST- registration is required. Guidelines: Display must be family friendly, free standing and secure against wet and or windy weather. Digging by hand only and no deeper that 1 foot into the ground. Displays must be removed by participants by November 1st. Anything left will be discarded. The North Haven Garden Club is not responsible for loss or damage to scarecrow displays. We reserve the right to use photographs for promotional publication.
PUMPKIN DECORATING CONTEST- registration is required, no fee to enter, bring your decorated pumpkin to the green before noon on October 25th. Judging begins at noon.
COSTUME PARADE- no registration is required, and is open to all. Begins at 2PM on October 25th. Candy will be given out to children who attend and are in costume.
DOG COSTUME CONTEST - registration is required, no fee to enter. Saturday October 25th at 1:00 PM- all dogs must be on a leash.
