September 10th, from 6:00–7:30 PM, the Charleston Community Research to Action Board (CCRAB) will host the Quarterly Meeting of the Charleston Community Air Monitoring Network (CCAMN) at the Gussie Green Community Center. (2012 Success Street, North Charleston)
This community gathering will highlight how PurpleAir air quality monitors are helping us track pollution in our neighborhoods. These small sensors provide real-time information about the air we breathe—empowering residents to better understand local air quality and take action for healthier communities.
At the event, we will:
* Share why air monitoring matters in our neighborhood
* Explain what PurpleAir monitors are and how they work
* Demonstrate how to access and use local air quality data
* Discuss opportunities for residents to get involved
Community members interested in participating in this compensation-based program are especially encouraged to attend.
Come to learn, ask questions, and connect with neighbors who care about clean air. Light refreshments will be provided, and childcare will be available.
Together, we can use data to make a difference.
