Rusty Bull Brewing is hosting the Backyard BBQ Showdown, a pulled pork–only cook-off with block party energy and a mission to give back. We’re turning up the heat for a one-night-only event where local pitmasters—from backyard heroes to serious smokers—fire up their rigs and compete for your vote, your taste buds, and the title of Rusty's Choice BBQ Champ.
And it’s all in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of South Carolina, with 100% of ticket sales going directly to the cause.

Think your pulled pork is the best in town? Step up and prove it.
We’re inviting backyard grillers and pitmaster pros to enter this pulled pork showdown for a chance to win cash OR a brand-new Pellet Smoker!
Here’s how it works:
- Rusty Bull provides the pork
- You bring your smoker, supplies, and one side dish
- Meat must be smoked on-site (you can prep ahead of time)
- No peanuts or peanut-based ingredients allowed
- NO entry fee to participate – just sign up by June 4
The community will vote for their favorites, and winners will be crowned for Best Pulled Pork and Best Side Dish. Plus, you'll be cooking for a crowd with all proceeds benefiting the SC Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
