🧠 What You'll Learn: Join us for this fun, practical introduction to crochet! You'll leave with new skills, finished projects, and the confidence to continue crafting on your own. Each week’s project is designed to be completed during class time with minimal homework.
Week 1 (October 2) Getting Started with a Crochet Dishcloth
During this class, students will learn the following skills: basic crochet setup, how to hold hook and yarn, foundation chain, single crochet stitch, turning chains, and basic tension control. Along with newly learned crochet skills, students will leave with a functional and beautiful dishcloth. Be sure to read the required materials list below.
🧩 Skill Level/Age Range: Beginner/ 8+
📃 Student Instructions: Bring your own yarn and crochet kit (see below).
🔨 Materials Needed: Students must bring their own: size H crochet hook, small scissors, yarn needle, yarn, supply bag, stitch markers (optional), and notebook for note taking.

Yarn requirements for crochet dishcloth:
Amount: 100-120 yards (approximately 2.5-3 oz)
Weight: Worsted Weight (4) cotton yarn
Fiber: 100% cotton (recommended for absorbency and durability)
Suggested Brands: Lily Sugar 'n Cream, Bernat Handicrafter Cotton, Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton, or Caron Simply Soft (cotton blend)
