The Garden Club invites curious minds to explore the magic of gardening in our inclusive community space.
Our unique multi-age approach brings together children from 3-11 years old, creating a rich environment where younger and older children learn from each other. This flexible program offers both drop-off options for independent explorers and shared experiences for families (with one participating parent per child).
The magic of our mixed-age garden club:
- Older children develop leadership and nurturing skills as they model techniques for younger participants
- Younger children gain confidence and new skills through observing and collaborating with older peers
- Natural mentorship emerges as experienced gardeners share knowledge with beginners
- Children of different ages contribute unique perspectives and creative approaches to garden challenges
Our curriculum adapts to different developmental stages while encouraging cross-age collaboration:
- Hands-on activities in planting, tending, and harvesting that can be enjoyed at any age
- Seasonal projects from seed starting to preparing garden beds for winter
- Explorations of plant biology, beneficial insects, and pollinators through age-appropriate discovery
- Creative garden-inspired art and practical projects like trellises and container gardens
This inclusive approach mirrors the diversity of the natural world itself—different elements working together to create a thriving ecosystem. No prior gardening experience needed—just bring curiosity and a willingness to get your hands dirty alongside new friends of all ages!
