Join us at North Bay City Hall to rally for change at 11, then join our teach-in next door at 11:30 in the North Bay Library Auditorium.
ON SEPTEMBER 20th WE ARE DRAWING THE LINE
We refuse to stand by while the government and Canada’s richest corporations hoard wealth, gut our public services, fuel climate collapse, attack migrants, exploit Indigenous lands, and prop up a genocide in Palestine.
They think that if they can overwhelm and divide us, we won’t fight back. But climate justice, migrant justice, economic justice, Indigenous rights, and anti-war movements are uniting to prove them wrong.
On Saturday, September 20th, we’re drawing the line— for People. For Peace. For the Planet.
From rallies to strikes, marches to gatherings, this September 20th, communities will mobilize across the country and demand that Prime Minister Carney and the Canadian government pick a side: injustice, violence, and climate destruction— or a just and safe future for all of us. In North Bay, join a rally at 11 a.m. on Saturday September 20th at North Bay City Hall (200 McIntyre Street East, North Bay). At 11:30 we'll move into the auditorium of the North Bay Public Library (next door to City Hall) for a teach-in.
WHY TEACH-INs
Carney’s early actions are being described as part of a deliberate “Flood the Zone” Strategy, intentionally designed to overwhelm the public and make it difficult for us to keep up let alone hold the government accountable.
When corporate profits are prioritized over people, peace, and the planet, we all pay the price. That’s why we are encouraging our communities to organize teach-ins that expose Carney’s dangerous agenda, and prepare us to fight back when Parliament resumes in September. A Draw the Line Teach-In is a simple, concrete way to do this.
--------------------------
Draw the Line is part of a wider series of global mobilizations to reclaim our world and demand system change that is taking place from June through to November: This World is Ours. Globally, peoples and communities are coming together to demand justice in the face of economic turmoil, ecological and climate catastrophe, political instability, vicious attacks on fundamental human rights, militarization, and, in places like Palestine and Sudan— genocide.
