Get ready, get excited, get loud and maybe get a little bit funky! The 70.3 Augusta Half Ironman will be back on Sunday Sept 28th, and for the first time ever the run portion of the event will be primarily in North Augusta. How can you help the approximately 2,000 athletes from all over the world? You can give them a BIG welcome by cheering in Boeckh Park on race day. Runners will be on the Greeneway in front of Boeckh park (situated along the Savannah River, in front Hammonds Ferry)from approximately 10 am until around 3pm.
Bring music, funny signs, costumes (any alligator costumes would be particularly awesome) and whatever else you can think of the give a fun and funky vibe, or just bring you. It will be a super fun day, bring coolers, picnics, chairs, etc. Each and every one of the athletes will appreciate your support.

For a little inspiration, the event picture is from one of the most well-loved cheering sections in any Ironman race (Ironman Texas), it is called Hippie Hollow. Don’t be shy, feel free to get FUNKY!
