Blue Christmas: A Service of Comfort and Hope
Thursday, December 18th • 7:00 p.m.
St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church, North Augusta, SC
The holiday season is often described as joyful and bright — but for many, this time of year can be heavy. Grief, loneliness, stress, and difficult memories can make December feel overwhelming. If you or someone you love is struggling this season, you are not alone.
Join us for Blue Christmas, a gentle, contemplative service designed to offer space for honesty, healing, and hope. Through candlelight, quiet reflection, Scripture, and prayer, we acknowledge the pain many carry while embracing the promise that God meets us with compassion in the midst of darkness.
Our theme comes from Isaiah 9:2:
“The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light.”
• Anyone experiencing grief, stress, sadness, or loneliness
• Those who find the holidays difficult
• Caregivers and loved ones supporting others
• Anyone seeking peace, quiet, and spiritual grounding
All are welcome — come as you are.
Please join us in the Parish Hall for cookies and warm cider, offered as a simple act of comfort and fellowship.
