Karen has a wealth of experience and has been teaching the Rites for over 9 years now. She has lead group many times to the sacred lands of Peru. Karen received Shamanic Initiations deep in the heart of the Andes and this wisdom she wishes to share with you!
Kate has been supporting others on their healing path for 13 years, and to compliment her experience and training in psychology, energy healing and psychic readings, she began studying shamanic practices in 2021. In addition to the Munay-Ki lineage, Kate has studied under two traditional Peruvian lineages. Kate loves to return to the sacred lands of Peru to deepen her connection to this work.

Karen has been facilitating the Rites for over 6 years now and has journeyed to Peru many times receiving Shamanic Initiations from the Qu'eros Shamans of Peru. She brings over 25 years experience working in the Health & Wellness industry and has held regular meditation Groups, Shamanic Retreats and workshops on the Sunshine Coast for over a decade now.
On her last trip to Peru in October 2023 she received her third and final Inititation of Munay Karpay at over 4,000 metres to complete her Master Shaman training.
Karen also runs Spirit of Peru Retreat, leading tour groups on journeys to this mystical land. After working with Master Shamans there for many years, she now passes on these teachings to you, including past life clearing, cutting cords and ties, karmic releasing, initiations and sacred ceremonies.

Kate Maryam is a Lightworker, multi-modality Energy Intuitive, Shamanic Healer, Feminine Embodiment Mentor, Teacher, Spiritual & Soul Mentor, and Sacred Space Holder. Her path and purpose in life is to guide women on their inner journey to back to their true essence, their divine nature, their sacred self.
Kate has an affinity with and appreciation for shamanic culture, teachings and healing. She felt a strong calling to dive deeper into shamanic practices to compliment her existing soul work in energy healing, psychic development, feminine embodiment and ceremonial cacao as a plant medicine.
Kate has embarked upon spiritual pilgrimages through the sacred sites of Peru and Bolivia in 2023 and 2025. She has experienced many ceremonial blessings from the Maestros and Shamans, , including multiple Karpays (traditional initiations).
In 2025, she is undertaking a 12 month Medicine Woman apprenticeship of Hampiq Ñust’a with Maestra Jemmita & Maestro Puma. She will be returning to Peru in May 2026 for continued growth and learning in this linage.
Kate has a passion for empowering others with the tools and strategies needed to live a full of love, connection and courage, and through strengthening their relationship with their own inner voice and wisdom. She believes in the powerful healing properties of the sun, the moon and our natural surrounds, and a deep grounded connection to Pachamama.
Kate is the visionary and creator behind Moon & Tide Gatherings, a series of sacred gatherings held regularly on the Sunshine Coast. Hello my name is Katy-lea, I create magic in the form of art & creativity.
All of us are on our own unique journey & my journey with art began at a very early age and in many forms. After recently studying holistic creative art therapy, I was presented with a beautiful opportunity to re-connect to my inner artist and learn emotional expression through my creations. It taught me to surrender attachments & judgement not only to aesthetic outcomes, but to all areas of my world.
Expressing myself through the form of art allowed me find my own version of meditation – a space where I could let go, be present and flow from the heart.
Inspired by the ocean, the earth and the magical universe that surrounds us, my art is an expression of the soul and the things that light up my world. These flowing watercolour creations evoke connections to the divine feminine and are designed to fill you with love, light and wonder for the beautiful, natural world that surrounds us.
My hope is to inspire you to expand and re-shape your view on art, so you too can create with magical freedom.
