About the Workshop
Cholena will guide you in selecting plant materials to achieve stunning results. Eco-printing uses natural botanicals to transfer colours, shapes, and intricate details directly onto fabric.
This hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop takes a relaxed, creative approach. You’ll eco-print onto two cotton tote bags (in a choice of colours) – or you can bring along your own plain cotton t-shirt to personalise your own creation of country.

About Cholena Hughes
Cholena (Koa) was born on Turrbal Country, grew up on Kabi Kabi/Gubbi Gubbi Country (Bribie Island), and now lives on Jinibara Country (Sunshine Coast Hinterland).
Her diverse art practice reflects a deep respect for the natural environment. Wandering the bush, observing the intricate details of Country, and embracing self-care through nature are at the heart of her work. Through eco-printing and weaving, Cholena shares these connections, offering others a glimpse into her lived experiences with Country.
