Watch a short moving documentary on American forces and explore the permanent exhibitions of the visitor center. As you walk through the cemetery say a silent prayer for the troops that fought the Battle of Normandy and witness the wreath-laying ceremony honoring the service and suffering of WWII veterans. You might even be chosen to take part in the event with your squad.
End your day with a reflective stroll on the beach pondering upon life's fragility, before boarding the shuttle with newfound gratitude. On your way back to Paris you'll break your journey at Bosgouet.
