Beginner Blacksmithing Class

at Chestnut Forge 3510 Charleston Rd, Norman, OK 73069. Blue Leaf Forge and Chestnut Forge have you all set to learn to make your own "Wizard bottle opener" and Christmas tree ornaments. Skills learned will be basic forge safety, basic hammer control and striking, twisting, basic chisel, and hole punching. Class is from 9:30am - 5:30pm. Lunch break from 12:00-1:30, not provided, but plenty of nearby options. A current SCABA membership is required for insurance purposes. Please bring eye and ear protection (which can be provided for a small fee), closed-toe shoes, and appropriately safe clothing (such as cotton, denim, or other natural materials that do not melt).
