Dive into the world of 2D animation in this hands-on, one-day intensive! Learn how to design dynamic characters starting with simple shapes using just pencil and paper. Then, bring your creations to life through traditional frame-by-frame animation techniques.
You’ll not only learn the fundamentals of character design and movement—you’ll also film your animated sequences and receive personalized feedback to help you grow as an artist.
Each participant will receive a free Mickey Mouse animation cel and a light box to keep—perfect for continuing your animation journey at home.

With over 30 years of professional experience in the animation industry, Timothy Ingersoll has brought beloved characters to life at Disney and DreamWorks—from The Little Mermaid to How to Train Your Dragon and many titles in between.
In addition to a rich animation career, Timothy has spent more than a decade teaching the craft to aspiring artists around the world. He has taught at top institutions including Gnomon School in Hollywood, Woodbury University in Burbank, and Cal State Northridge, as well as leading workshops in China, India, and beyond.
For 20 years, Timothy also mentored incoming animators at DreamWorks, combining hands-on instruction with industry insights. Whether you're just beginning or looking to sharpen your skills, you’ll be learning from a true master of the craft.
