Don’t Let that inner voice “I’m Not Creative” hold you back or define you. The truth is, we are all creative, sometimes we just need a safe, supportive space to let it shine.
No prior experience, talent, or ability is required. Simply come exactly as you are.
What to Expect
Confidence-Building: We’ll begin with refreshments and a 20-minute confidence-building session that will help you set aside limiting beliefs and open yourself to the flow of creativity.
Guided Drawing: From there, Claire Long will guide you into the world of lines, shading, illusions, shapes, and shadows using pen, pencil, and watercolour. Inspiration is everywhere: a hidden doorway, a sleepy dog, or a charming café.
Urban Sketching in Nature: Together we’ll step outside into a private, tranquil space among trees, gardens, and the quiet presence of a chapel. This exclusive setting allows you to feel free, unobserved, and open to exploring creativity without distractions.
The Magic of Urban Sketching: Urban sketching is more than just drawing. It’s calming, meditative, and a joyful way to connect with both your surroundings and others. As you sketch, you’ll create personal “postcards” of your journey, capturing fleeting moments in a way that is uniquely your own.
This workshop is strategically scheduled in October, aligning with the global Inktober challenge, which inspires people worldwide to draw daily, share their art, and grow their skills. Whether or not you take part in the challenge, you’ll leave with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to keep sketching whatever inspires you.
All materials and refreshments are included. **Please note: materials are for use during the workshop, but everything you create is yours to take home
